God Doesn’t Call the Qualified—He Qualifies the Called

Exodus 1–6 Teen Devotional

Have you ever felt like you weren’t good enough to do something important?

When God called Moses to deliver the children of Israel, Moses immediately doubted himself:

“Who am I…?” (Exodus 3:11)

“I am not eloquent… I am slow of speech.” (Exodus 4:10)

Moses focused on his weaknesses.

God focused on His power.

Trust God More Than Yourself

God’s response to Moses is powerful:

“Certainly I will be with thee.” (Exodus 3:12)

“I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.” (Exodus 4:12)

God didn’t deny Moses’s weakness—He promised His help.

Sometimes we hold back because we don’t feel ready, capable, or confident.

But God isn’t asking us to be perfect—He’s asking us to trust Him.

Reflection

What is something you feel nervous or unsure about right now?

School? Friends? A decision? A responsibility?

What would change if you trusted that God could help you through it?

“With God nothing shall be impossible.” — Luke 1:37

Today’s Challenge

Think of one thing you’ve been avoiding because you feel “not good enough.”

Take one small step forward today.

Pray for help—and trust that God will meet you there.

Grateful you’re here.
